Chelsea Ellis Bloch and Marisol Roncali co-founded Atomic Honey as a tribute to their first casting director credits in Atomic Blonde and Honey Boy, at the top of 2019. While working together on Deadpool 2, with Chelsea as the Director of Feature Casting at Fox and Marisol as an independent casting director, they saw the need for a fresh voice from the next generation in the industry. Leveraging their strong relationships with agents and managers, a track record of discovering and nurturing new emerging talent, and a passion for working with visionary filmmakers, they quickly established themselves as the go-to Casting Directors.

Together, their company has cast numerous projects including Netflix’s recently released film Carry-On, which is the streamer’s  biggest film debut of 2024, DC Entertainment’s Blue Beetle, Blue Bayou, nominated for Un Certain Regard at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, and Emily the Criminal, for which they won a Casting Society of America award for best low budget feature. Marisol and Chelsea recently completed casting for A24’s Eternity as well as Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Studios live-action Dora the Explorer: Search for Sol Dorado.

Additionally, on the television side, they worked on the newly premiered Apple TV+ series, Lady in the Lake, as well as the mini-series Peacock’s The Continental: From the World of John Wick.

Atomic Honey has also become one of the premier casting companies for “real people/street casting” and has incorporated that into several of the projects they cast. For the Apple TV series, Lady in the Lake, the goal was to populate the world with authentic faces from Baltimore, scouring the streets for car salesmen, jewelers, rabbis, etc. For Dora the Explorer, they found and auditioned thousands of young Latina teens, some with years of acting experience and others who they auditioned for the first time.  Currently they are conducting a search for Latino teens for America Ferrara’s directorial debut, I’m Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter.

In addition to Film and TV, Atomic Honey has branched out to diversify their casting portfolio with branding campaigns, commercials and extensive work in narrative podcasts, most notably QCode’s Dirty Diana starring Demi Moore, which won an Ambie Award and Crooked Media’s Edith! starring Rosamund Pike, which won both a Webby and Signal Award.

Chelsea is based in Los Angeles and Marisol is based in New York City.
